Now in its 18th year, the New Mexico Photography Field School is unique in its offerings: hands-on photography workshops in the Southwest¹s canyons, hills, riversides, and villages. Participants are up and out every day to capture the light, color, and texture that is the West. Workshops are for the novice to the experienced photographer for anyone who wants to master photographic technique while exploring the enchanted land that is New Mexico.
Field School Director and Instructor Craig Varjabedian has been teaching photography for twenty-five years. His photographs are known for their interpretations of light and place in the Southwest. His works are widely exhibited and collected. Joining the school for the 2004 season will be Dr. Marc Simmons, New Mexico¹s Historian Laureate, Cathy Wright, Curator at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and David Glosson, Associate Photography Instructor from Colin County Community College, Plano, TX. The workshop program based in Santa Fe, New Mexico is sponsored by Bogen Photo, Kodak Professional, Lowepro, Photoflex and Ebony Camera.
